Day 1

Arriving at Rabbit Resort, Pattaya, Thailand

The award-winning Rabbit Resort is best described as a historic Thai village located on the luxury Dongtan Beach in Pattaya. The 49 Thai Beach Villas feature one and two stories and boasts Thai ambiance using reclaimed wood and lush tropical gardens set within a beautiful forest.

These sessions will be arranged by ThailandPhotography.com Team consisting of renowned award-winning photographers and some national juries who have many year experiences in Thai culture and art photography fields.

Day 2 – Nan

10.00am – Arriving at Nan Airport

11.00am – Tram Ride around the city of Nan. Models and scenes setup for photo shoot available in some attractions.

WAT PHUMIN
This temple is also a home ofThailand’s famous ancient wall murals called Pu Man, Ya Man which appears on the wall paintings, in Tai Lue style. It is considered highly valuable. It depicts legends concerning the Lord Buddha as well as local legends and the local way of life including native attires, weaving and commerce with foreign countries.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NAN
This place is good for taking photos both indoor and outdoor. It is also a place to learn the history of Nan province.

 

12.00pm – Lunch Time

13.00pm – The House of Chao Fongkham. This is one of the best preserved large teak houses in Thailand, built in traditional Northern Thai style. This beautiful home is 150 years old.

15.00pm – Wat Saun Hom. Here is a place where some examples of Nan’s Traditional Long Boat (for racing) have been built. Traditional artists (could be monks or villagers) will be setup to demonstrate how they make some part of boat, especially the front head.

17.00pm – Wat Saun Tan. Photo-shooting the scene of magnificent home-made fireworks. These traditional up-to-32-feet-high fireworks will rock your heart and you can play around with both high-speed and long-exposure shots.

20.00pm – Dinner Time

21.00pm – Back to Wiang Kaew Hotel

Day 3 – Nan

05.00am – Go to Wat Phrathat Khao Noi. This temple (Wat) is located at a particularly significant historic site. The temple is on the mountain and known for the best spot to see the whole city of nan from bird-eye-view. Monks lighting candles scene has been setup.

08.00am – Breakfast time

09.30am – Leaving for Bo Kluea District

On the way, we will stop at some interesting place.

House of THAI LUE
Tai Lue people are famous for their traditional tribal fabric with “Nam Lai” patterns, an art handed down through generations. The design has been improved during times but still retaining the original patterns.

12.30pm – Arriving at Amphoe Bo Kluea

Bo Kluea (Thai for “natural salt pond”)

This is 110 kilometers away from the downtown of Nan province. Apart from farming, the villagers of Amphoe Bo Kluea also make a living as salt makers in those rocksalt sources on the mountain. (Natural salt ponds are closed during the Buddhist lent because of the rainy season).

Over here, we will have some scene setups. (Boiling Salt, etc.)


15.30pm
– Go back to Wiang Kaew Hotel

18.00pm – Have a dinner and enjoy watching local show (Nan’s traditional dance styles or some local style performances)

Day 4 – Nan and Phrae

06.00am – Breakfast Time

07.00am – Go to WAT PHRA THAT CHAE HAENG

Scene Setup – parade of Monks carrying long yellow fabric (used for wrapping around the main pagoda of the temple)

09.30am – Go back to Wiang Kaew Hotel and check out

11.30am – Lunch Time

13.00pm – Go to Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri, Prae.

Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkon Khiri features beautiful architectures that are inspired by the ancient, traditional structures such as the Ubosot (ordination hall) which was well admired for its delicate sculptures and a Lanna-style, golden-teak building that enshrines relics of Lord Buddha and exhibits Buddha statues, Lanna musical instruments and ancient weapons.

We will stay at this temple for the rest of the afternoon. There are a lot of interesting stuff to photograph. Moreover, in the evening, monks and villagers releasing numbers of flying lanterns scenes are setup.

19.30pm – Dinner Time

21.00pm – Go to Paris Art Hotel, Prae

Day 5 – Phrae

05.00am – Landscape Scene at Wat Phra That Doi Leng

07.30am – Breakfast Time

08.30am – Start Tram Ride and sightseeing some interesting places and scene setups.

BAAN WONG BURI

Situated on Kham Lue Road in Phrae town, this historical house had been established in 2450B.E. by Chao Phrom and Chao Sunantawongburi, the daughter of Chaoburi. Made from teak wood fused with European style, prominent points of the building are carved woods at the gable, eaves, terrace, windows and doors. In front of the door lies a stucco with goat shape, a representation of Luangphongphiboon and Maechao Sunanta who were both born in goat year. Inside lies ancient furniture, silverwares and potteries as well as documents on slave and diamond trades.

Wat Phong Sunan

This temple (Wat) is rich in decorations and statues and good for do some scene setups.

Day 6

Post Training and Trip Photo Contest at the late afternoon and in the evening.

  • Photo review and comment (Portfolio Review)
  • Photo Contest
